Nominations for the Mumbai Ratna Awards2019 open now.

Introduction
To recognise and reward high standards of professional performance and contributions of individuals civil servants (Govt officials, civic body officials, Police, Disaster management, Railways and NGOs) who work tirelessly for the city. Nominations are invited for four types of awards and are to be submitted on or before the deadline – on 23rd November 2019.

Award Categories
i. The Mumbai Ratna Award for Exemplary Duty-bound Honesty is presented to recognize and honour an individual who has demonstrated utmost honesty in the field he/she has been positioned in.

ii. The Mumbai Ratna Award for Exemplary Duty-bound Performance is presented to recognize and honour an individual who within his or her particular context, has made significant contributions to the department.

iii. The Mumbai Ratna Award for Exemplary Duty-bound Bravery is presented to recognize and honour an individual who has shown immense courage and unfaltering bravery in the times of disasters and have helped many in distress.

iv. The Mumbai Ratna Award for Exemplary Duty-bound Crisis Management is presented to recognize and honour an individual who has shown spontaneity and exemplary skills in crisis management and control.

  The recipient has to be an individual currently in an appointed position as civil servants in or as Govt officials, civic body officials, Police, Disaster management, Railways and NGOs engaged in public service.
The awards do not carry any monetary value but serve to recognize and celebrate extraordinary contributions.

Review Committee
Nominations will be reviewed and selected by the Awards Committee. The committee comprises members from various professional levels and disciplinary areas appointed by ARK Media.

Announcement of Awards
The Award Committee will announce the award during the Mumbai Infrastructure Global Solution Summit 2019. If the submission pool does not meet the criteria standards, the award(s) will not be given in that cycle, and nominations will again be taken in two years’ time.

Criteria for Nominators
The nomination should include:
a) The Award Nomination Form available from [Attached to this document below and on the website]
b) A letter detailing the rationale behind the nomination
c) Two letters of recommendations from different individuals
d) A CV of the nominated candidate or information about the group or organization nominated (where applicable).
