India being one of the largest steel producers is known as steel economy housing the largest steel makers.  Varied consumer demography creates a significant demand for stainless steel which is being used in industrial to household products. SS Kitchenware is the largest consumption segment in India accounting for 70 per cent  share of the total production. Riding on the wave of urbanisation, the usage has gone beyond the traditional products and entered into servicing and manufacturing including shopping malls, railways, sanitation and others. Some of the key factors which spiked the trend of SS are boom to the real estate industry, corporate makeover, urban renewal of street furniture, airport expansion, architecture and development.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Elaborate on the arrangement of JSL Lifestyle with Railways?

JSL Lifestyle has always aspired to contribute to the development of India and allying with Indian Railways has helped achieve that aspiration. The affiliation with Indian Railways is primarily based on tender-basis. IR announces the requisites and accordingly, the tender is floated and the best suitable party is allied with. The allegiance with IR has stood strong as JSLL contributed its bit to the country by installing portable stainless steel beach and modular toilets across the country.  Not just this, we have installed retention tanks in various railway projects to prevent defecation on the tracks. Through these projects, we have contributed significantly to transform and enhance the image of Indian Railways. We intend to maintain the allegiance with IR and anticipate such collaborations in the near future as well.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="33778″ img_size="full" alignment="center"][vc_column_text]JSL Lifestyle has a dedicated manufacturing facility for Railways. Touch upon the type of materials supplied to railways. What is the annual capacity of the said fa-cility?

Yes, we back IR as we dedicated an entire manufacturing facility for different kind of requirements to produce fine-quality stainless steel products for coaches. The material supplied to Indian Railways ranges from SS -SS304, 316 to SS 409M and SS 301. The different grades of material are imparted to IR, strung together with a capacity of 10,000. The allegiance is withheld with high-quality material, high capacity and credibility.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Are you looking at any further investments to strengthen your supply base for railways?

Most certainly. We intend to formulate an expansion plan which syncs with new-age technology and modern-day approach pinned along with enhanced plant operations and manufacturing facilities for ampler penetration. Strengthening the roots of in-vestment and the pioneers aspire to match the global standards, is what seems to be on-cards for JSLL.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Who are the major clients other than railways for the bulk supply?

A few of the clients that we cater other than IR are Delhi Metro, BML, BT, Alstom. JSLL's philosophy which is kept in mind while serving the customers is to keep them a priority and maintain a genuine connect along with providing them with complete transparency to avoid any miscommunication. Our clients are of paramount significance to us and we intend to maintain and strengthen our relationship with them over time.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]How was the first half of the current FY for you?

FY is usually all about productivity and hectic routines, similar was the case with us. The initial half of our FY focused on formulating new processes and streamlining the existing ones. Brand visibility amongst the B2B as well as B2C is another aspect which was paid heed to. The first-half witnessed the team aiming for better penetration and acquisition of new accounts.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]What can we expect in terms of new products from JSL Lifestyle?

We, too, believe in revamping our collection every now and then and we have been working to refashion our range. We will shortly be launching modular toilets with innovative designs, new-age kitchens, SS under the frame and other such products. We are working hard to present our nascent artistry to the people.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]How strong is your order book until 2022?

We are receiving an overwhelming response in the market and we carry extreme gratitude for it. We're having good order placed for the order book till 2022. This year, we started a new plant operation in this FY and has been an amazing ride until moment!            [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In the changing economic situation, how do you expect the industry to pan out?

Change, as we have known, is the only thing constant; and we believe the industry is embracing it well. We anticipate a rise of approximately 6000-8000 per year. All conventional coaches are expected to phase out and eventually be replaced with new LHB coaches.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
