KOMATSU India rolls out first HD785-7 DUMP TRUCK compatible with BIO-FUEL

Komatsu India (KIPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Komatsu, Japan, has rolled out India's first mining truck compatible with bio-fuel from its advanced manufacturing plant in Chennai in the presence of Yasunori Fujii, Managing Director and Hiroshi Shirato, Director (Plant), KIPL. Larsen & Toubro is the authorised distributor of Komatsu's construction and mining equipment in India.

Komatsu India (KIPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Komatsu, Japan, has rolled out India's first mining truck compatible with bio-fuel from its advanced manufacturing plant in Chennai in the presence of Yasunori Fujii, Managing Director and Hiroshi Shirato, Director (Plant), KIPL. Larsen & Toubro is the authorised distributor of Komatsu's construction and mining equipment in India. 

Speaking on this breakthrough, Fujii reiterated Komatsu's commitment to the societal cause, wherein Komatsu is continuously incorporating new technologies in the Indian market. This further enhances the efficiency of jobsites & minimises adverse environmental impact. In line with this ethos, Komatsu has now introduced mining equipment fleet compatible with bio-fuel (biodiesel blends up to B20 conforming to ASTM D7467). The Government of India's direction to accelerating alternate fuel usage is expected to compliment these new initiatives.

Last year Komatsu commemorated its 100th year anniversary globally since it was established in 1921. On this occasion, Hiroyuki Ogawa, President of Komatsu, embarked on the new three-year mid-term management plan, “Dantotsu Value - Together, to 'The Next' for sustainable growth” to create new value for the next 100 years.

 Further to the roll-out of mining equipment with bio-fuel compatibility, KIPL has planned to introduce and demonstrate the construction range of earthmoving equipment with bio-fuel compatibility at Excon 2021, the South Asia's largest construction equipment exhibition at BIEC Grounds, Bangalore, scheduled from May 17-21, 2022.
