When the right tool makes the job easier: a Screening Bucket MB-S18 successfully processes railway ballast.

One of our esteemed customers, who was undertaking a railway project, was looking for a screening solution that would help them screen out a total of 30,000 cubic meters of railway ballast & soil.

They were looking for a screening solution that could precisely segregate 25mm down material from 65mm ballasts which were kept in a stockpile for close to 5 years.

In railways, traditionally, size separation was carried out with the help of a backhoe loader and a trolley which are assembled with a big screening mesh, or with big stationary screeners.

Initially, they planned to use a stationary screening arrangement which, according to them, seemed cheaper to take on a rental basis.

However, as they analysed further, they realised the burden of keeping transporting a heavy track-mounted screening machine along the railway line as opposed to the multiple benefits of the mobility that an MB's screening solution provides when directly applied to an excavator.

By simply attaching an MB's screening unit to an excavator, with just one operator, you can turn your heavy machine into a real screening station.

The MB Crusher's MB-S18 screening bucket is suitable for excavators from 20 tons of any brand and it can easily be moved anywhere, together with the excavator and with no special transport required. Many customers today are adopting our screening bucket models, which allow for top results whatever the specific application is.

Thanks to their conical shape and the depth and size of the basket, a significant production is now possible, making this tool the right one for several applications such as: Primary screening of scrap, demolition material, filling material for excavations, and material resulting from the reclamation of rocky soil; Selection of pebbles in waterways; Cleaning of beaches.

The maintenance is very quick and easy, with just a few pumps of grease and also as the screening bucket MB-S18 is equipped with baskets made of interchangeable modular panels, whenever damage occurs, the part can be replaced quickly and directly on the jobsite.

After having raised an enquiry to MB India's office and after our specialists collected all the required information and devised a corresponding solution, the perfect match was found.

The screening bucket MB-S18 not only could be mounted on the existing host machines but also met the desired daily productivity making the whole process simple and effective!

Sorting, separating and recycling demolition waste or natural materials is no longer a complicated, time consuming and expensive process.
