What are the innovative technologies showcased at Excon this year?
In this Excon, we have displayed our fifth product category in Indian market, the HDS product line. This is a shaft screening machine which has essentially shafts inside the machines. These can be interchanged based on specific requirements of customers. We have four different kit sets. Three are primarily for gardening, landscaping, fertiliser and composting application. They shred, screen and filter process organic material. Also, organic waste can be processed through this machine. The fourth kit set that we have here is the RM mixer kit. This is the only kit set that is compatible for crushing applications suitable for soft coal industry. We have recently installed our first three machines in Indian market, in the southern Indian market and we have been extremely satisfied with the performance in terms of productivity, efficiency and the sturdiness of the machine.
What are the solutions offered in the C&D waste recycling process?
The whole DNA of our machines is recycling. So, for us the construction & demolition (C&D) waste is something that is very relevant for us because we take such materials with demolishing contractors. For example, in India when we first approached them to dispose of the debris construction of let’s say a bridge that was a cost for them because they had to dispose it whether it was just trucking, transporting and dumping it in a landfill was a cost. We have turned that cost into a revenue stream because you can use our machines directly at demolition site to crush that material which can be resold in the market as GSB for road construction or 20 mm down for aggregates industry.
What are the opportunities for these kinds of products in India?
The opportunity for us in India is very interesting because one of the main values that our machines bring is the mobility aspect. You are able to be completely independent at site. We always say one of our main slogans is one base machine + one operator + MB Crusher = infinite possibilities, because we transform the excavator into a crusher, departing from its conventional utility that involves tasks such as earthmoving, digging, breaking, and more. Now we have added the possibility to make your excavator or your backhoe unit into a crushing unit, a screening unit, a hill cutting unit with a drum cutting machine and HDS line or organic waste processing unit. So, mobility, hard to reach areas, independence at site and capabilities for retail customers that are doing smaller road projects that don’t have the captive GSB static crushers that may be some of larger players bidding on it. Those players are buying GSB from third-party suppliers and using MB Crusher machine they really have a huge saving on that.
