What are the major challenges that you now face in terms of production / delivery / supply chain management and back up service activities? How do you address these challenges?
As the lockdown is still effective in Pune region, the complete production is at standstill. The dispatch of machines has stopped and moreover the restrictions on district crossing have added to our worries. In amidst of all this, the essential sector like mining is functional, wherein we are supporting with various spare parts and other services whichever required.
While addressing all these challenges, on the other hand we are well equipped with product inventory to sustain for almost a month and with arrangements for workforce to stay in the plant itself keeping in mind all the necessary precautions to be taken, once the restrictions are relaxed.
What sort of central / state government initiatives that the industry needs for a faster revival? What are your suggestions?
Infrastructure and construction industry are highly responsible for propelling infrastructure development and infra sector is the second largest employment provider. Considering this the state / central government should start current and new projects wherever the manpower movement is negligible. Due to this pandemic, the complete industry and the world has come to a standstill with organizations incurring huge overhead expenses without any sales; the state / central government should start considering on the lines of releasing some relief funds for our industry.
With the market contracting so badly, what will be your revival strategies post covid-19?
Most important will be the health and safety of all the stakeholders of the company. Moving ahead one of our primary focus will be on digitization, providing support to MSMEs, offering proper buyback schemes for customers. Many other strategies will be taken into consideration post Covid-19, for bouncing back into the market.
Give us a brief on the CSR activities during these troubling times?
