Ashok Mohanani

With a rich experience of more than three decades in the real estate space, Ashok Mohanani, Chairman of Ekta World and President of Naredco Maharashtra, is an institution in himself. An avid singer and a sportsman, Mohanani is an inspiration to the youth.

What are your hobbies and how do you nurture them despite your busy schedule?

I have always been an avid singer, if I must prefer any kind of genre, mostly I like the classical music and ghazals. Besides singing, I am a fitness enthusiast and do not forget to spare time from my daily schedule towards health and fitness. Also, as a sportsman I have played Pickleball in the international Arena and is currently, Director of AIPA- All India Pickleball Association.

I have also been associated with Brahma kumaris, since 1998 and this institution has been instrumental in leading me to believe in the power of mediation and begin my spiritual journey. The Brahma Kumaris support the UN Millennium Development Goals through a wide range of programs promoting education; gender equality and empowerment of women; mental, physical, and spiritual health and well-being; and environmental sustainability.

Tell us about your favourite Bollywood actor and your love for movies and music.

Music has always been an integral part of my life- early on, I could not devote more time to my passion for music, but like they say- better late than never and I now indulge in music and Riyaz for the larger part of my free time. My favourite actor is the evergreen Madhubala.

You have always been an inspiration for the youth. Tell us about your role model.

In business arena I have always looked up to GL Raheja, a stalwart of the Indian real estate, he has been a man of honour and principles.

It is due to my experiences whilst working with him in the formative years that, the guidance, support has been instrumental in my personal growth and development.

What according to you has been the greatest achievement of your life?

I have always dreamed of building homes that care for people living in. While crafting homes, the first question I ask is “will I live in these homes”, hence you will see each of projects are well planned and designed for our residents fulfilling our promise of giving Peace of Mind.

Creating Ekta World has been my greatest achievement that I am proud of and EKTA prioritizes the customers.
