The year 2024 was transformative for Ramky Infrastructure Limited. We achieved several milestones while upholding our commitment to sustainability and innovation. Key highlights include:

 Honored as the Best Professionally Managed Company at the 15th CIDC Vishwakarma Awards 2024, reflecting our exceptional management practices in the construction domain.

 Recognized as the 3rd Fastest Growing Construction Company under the Medium Category at the 22nd Construction World Global Awards, highlighting our robust performance and consistent delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions.

 Project accolades:

 Our pioneering “Treatment and Disposal of Legacy Leachate” project, the first of its kind carbon-neutral initiative, received six prestigious awards, including the Best Design Practices in Construction Projects at the Construction Times Awards 2024.

  Received the Best Construction Health, Safety, and Environment Implementation award for the Ramky One Odyssey Project, highlighting our unwavering focus on health, safety, and environmental sustainability.

 Landmark projects:

  Commissioned the largest Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) utilizing Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) technology in Hyderabad, significantly enhancing the city’s wastewater treatment capacity.

  Awarded the Biomining project in Chennai, a ground-breaking initiative aimed at reclaiming and rehabilitating legacy waste, setting new benchmarks in environmental restoration.

What were the key challenges during this year, and how did you manage to tackle/overcome them?

In 2024, the challenges we faced included:

 Rising costs: Fluctuating raw material prices and logistical costs affected project budgets. We mitigated this through strategic procurement and process optimization.

 Regulatory frameworks: Adapting to evolving environmental and safety regulations required agile strategies, which we implemented effectively.

 Skilled workforce shortage: Addressed through targeted skill development programs and collaborations with training institutes.

 Climate variability: Projects had to be adapted to changing environmental conditions, for which we leveraged advanced predictive technologies.

Through proactive planning, technological integration, and stakeholder collaboration, we not only overcame these challenges but also turned them into opportunities for growth.

 

How was the trend in project execution/operations in the year?

Project execution trends in 2024 leaned heavily on digital transformation, sustainability, and efficiency. At Ramky, we adopted:

 Digital project management tools: Ensured real-time monitoring and seamless coordination across our projects.

 Modular construction practices: Accelerated timelines while maintaining quality standards.

 Sustainability as a core principle: Incorporated green construction practices, minimized waste, and enhanced resource efficiency in all operations.

What were the key sustainability practices trending in the year 2024, and what were the initiatives from the company in line with this?

Trending sustainability practices in 2024 included waste-to-energy solutions, circular economy models, and water conservation technologies. Ramky Infrastructure led several initiatives:

 Waste management: Expanded South India’s first waste-to-energy facility in Hyderabad, reducing landfill dependency.

  Water treatment innovation: Commissioned advanced wastewater treatment systems like the Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR).

 Leachate management: Continued our leadership in sustainable landfill practices with India’s largest Leachate Treatment Plant.

 Energy efficiency: Adopted renewable energy sources and energy-efficient designs across our projects.

How are you planning the year ahead? What are your goals and way forward?

For 2025, our focus is on:

 Expansion: Exploring new markets and sectors, with a strong emphasis on Greenfield projects and the development of Eco-Industrial parks.

 Innovation: Investing in R&D for cutting-edge solutions in waste management, water infrastructure, and renewable
energy.

 Sustainability: Enhancing ESG compliance, promoting eco-friendly construction, and scaling renewable energy initiatives.

 Technology adoption: Accelerating the use of AI, IoT, and digital twins for smarter project planning and execution, while addressing workforce shortage through automation & mechanization.
