Sobha: To Zero Emission Concrete

SOBHA is India's largest and the only real estate company with a backward integration (self-reliant) business model which enables the company to manufacture all the key components used in construction, in-house. The company has concrete products, interior products, glazing and metal building and mattress factories.

Early Days

We launched the Concrete Product Division (CPD) in 2005 - 2006 with an aim to manufacture and provide best quality products. Our factories are of global standards which produce concrete solid and hollow blocks, landscaping products like pavers, kerbs, water drainage channels, paving slabs, precast drain covers, precast boundary walls, GFRC etc.

Evolution

As technology advanced there have been many developments in the real estate sector. At the concrete product division of SOBHA, quality enhancement of projects was one of our major targets without missing on project deadlines. Today, due to globalization and increased collaboration with universal brands, we have been using international standards and imported technology in all our projects.

The company uses German technology and also follows international practices in all its construction activities. SOBHA uses precast technology at its dream series projects. Precast technology helps the company produce world class buildings with more efficient use of its resources.

We also have a well-equipped Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) factory to manufacture GFRC products. This is a fiber-reinforced concrete product, for both internal and external usage. GFRC, made of white cement, is one of the best elements to give a luxurious look and feel on both interior and exterior of the buildings. It is suitable for a wide range of projects including residential to institutional and is made up of ready-to-use and easy-to-install elements.

Apart from these, SOBHA has also taken initiatives to make our products environment friendly. The products are developed in a manner that reduces our carbon footprint.

Future Plans

Apart from the existing products, we plan to manufacture mortar-based products, concrete admixtures, expand our landscaping and walling solutions etc. We are also exploring zero carbon cementing solutions.

We are working towards introducing environmental-friendly products to replace traditional products using innovative concepts.
