How is the demand trend for HVAC systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings?

The demand for HVAC units is growing across sectors, such as commercial, residential and industrial, due to the rising need of comfort and efficiency in productivity. The growth across the various sectors like real estate, corporate sector, etc. is gradually increasing ultimately causing a rapid rise in the demand of HVAC products & solutions. Customised energy-efficient solutions are increasing the demand for advanced HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

What are the emerging technology trends in HVAC for commercial buildings? What are the latest solutions from Mitsubishi Electric?

Experienced buyers and customers for commercial usage of air conditioners are very well aware about the importance of various factors in air conditioning like fresh air, humidity, air quality along with temperature. Such knowledgeable customers are investing in very good HVAC system and are paying for the regular upkeep of the aircon units to maintain proper air quality throughout the life of the aircon system. COVID-19 critical situations have increased the awareness about the indoor air quality and many people have started to see HVAC as a solution business rather than a product-based market. Individual customisation during designing & installation and regular maintenance is required to meet the customer demand for enhanced air quality. Only a solution provider can customise the aircon to suit the customer requirements.

Inverter-based VRF system coupled with Variable Evaporative technology and variable valve design helps our products to deliver the desired comfort with minimum power consumption.

Highly reliable product makes our system well accepted globally, as very less down time is required for the units that we offer. What is your outlook on HVAC systems market?

During the Pandemic, HVAC industry experienced growth as a solution provider by developing additional features like air filtration capabilities to existing air conditioning system. Many clients opted for various options available in the market to retrofit to their existing HVAC systems and to reduce the spread of microorganisms through HVAC system.

HVAC demand is primarily driven by the advent of technologically advanced products, which are energy-efficient and can be remotely accessed. The use of natural refrigerants, such as CO2 coupled with increasing efforts by governments across the globe to promote energy-efficient products is expected to drive the market.

Nowadays, customers are demanding proper ventilation during design stage and are ready to spend for the proper maintenance and smooth working of the ventilation system and air conditioning system. Integrated air conditioning and ventilation solution is widely accepted. An integrated ventilation system and air conditioning system helps in reducing the energy consumption without compromising on quality of the air.
