India is currently the world's second-largest steel producer. The growth of TMT bars has been one of the most significant advances in recent years. Among the total steel produced in India, TMT steel bars account for a substantial share. Created using cutting-edge technology that ensures exceptional strength and durability, these bars are particularly suitable for high-rise buildings, bridges, and other large-scale constructions. According to media reports, during the fiscal year 2022-23, India's total steel output reached 123 million tonnes (MT), with TMT bars and rods contributing 52 MT to this production volume.
What are the key challenges faced by the TMT steel bar industry today?
