THE GOLF LINKS HOUSE.

A biological beauty Ar. Sumit Dhawan is currently working upon is Harsh Bansal's residence. This sumptuous residence is being planned to rest in The Golf Links, one of the poshest colonies in New Delhi. This area constitutes numerous dwellings encompassing vibrant and lush landscaped garden views and commodious planning. The design scheme follows contemporary minimalism, which is Asis favourite design style. The amalgamation of an exotic material palette including zinc, glass, wood and metal facade creates a harmonious yet minimalistic effect on the overall modern geometry of the project.

Based on the fundamentals of horizontal and vertical interaction between indoors with outdoors, an open plan concept has been introduced. With enormous openings in the front and rear along with few cut-outs at the terrace level, the house acquires an abundance of natural and ventilation.

The notion of assimilating a sustainable design concept here is to curb the jeopardy of the hot and dry climate while taking the advantage of exuberant landscaped gardens of Lutyens Delhi.

To achieve a successful design based on the challenges, the project was introduced to the solarium and certain passive design strategies like use of cavity walls, double glazed high-performance slim aluminium profile fenestrations, and vertical and horizontal shading devices like:

- Privacy wooden louvre

- Rotatable, sliding and stack louvre blades

- Pergola with rotatable blades and integrated light and sound system

- Retractable skylight with a waterproof and sun blocked screen on top.
