How is the construction equipment market gaining pace in India? What kind of demand are you anticipating for your equipment and solutions in future?
India is one of the fastest growing and dynamically evolving markets, and is on track to become the second-largest market in the world for construction equipment by 2030. India is developing its infrastructure at a rate that has never been witnessed before. Considering the current dynamics of the construction equipment industry in India, we anticipate a robust and sustained demand for our equipment and solutions in the future. The expansion of the Indian economy, coupled with a rising wave of urbanisation and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, has created a pressing need for advanced construction equipment. The government’s focus on project such as Make in India initiative and push for Smart Cities, has catalysed a surge in infrastructure development projects, including the construction of roads, bridges, railways, airports, and real estate. This has boosted demand for construction equipment which is expected to persist as these projects unfold.
Government-driven initiatives, such as the Bharatmala Project for road development and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) for affordable housing, have further fuelled the demand for construction equipment on a national scale. As these programs gain momentum, the need for our innovative solutions is expected to escalate, presenting significant business opportunities.
How will EXCON act as a platform for presenting your technologies and services to your customers? What are your plans for this year to attract customers?
Over the years, EXCON has been a wonderful platform for us at CASE Construction to exhibit our cutting-edge equipment and services. It has provided us the opportunity to engage with customers, dealers, policymakers, and other stakeholders on this platform, which additionally enables us to showcase our state-of-the-art machineries. This year too, we would like to utilise this exceptional opportunity to draw footfalls to our pavilion at the trade show and boost interest from our consumers in our range of smart equipment.
At EXCON, we are set to showcase ten new machines that are made in India. Within the domestic market, we intend to introduce six new products and enter into two new product categories. In addition, as we prepare to transition our entire product range to BS V (CEV/TREM) compliant engines and will be exhibiting these machines before the scheduled transition in 2024. We will also be introducing an entire value line platform under CNH Industrial that offers genuine parts and accessories.
How are your technologies and services going to address the changing needs of the customers?
The demand for construction equipment is changing drastically in the current Indian scenario due to the numerous infrastructure projects going on. To address the evolving needs of customers, we have incorporated several state-of-the-art technologies in our machineries. One key aspect of our approach is the incorporation of telematics and remote technologies. By providing real-time data access to operators and fleet owners, we empower them to make informed decisions regarding equipment utilisation, monitor performance, and ensure security. This will help in predictive maintenance for the operator and will not only minimise downtime but also maximise the lifespan of our equipment, contributing to overall project efficiency.
Furthermore, fuel efficiency has been a focal point for us while developing equipment with FPT engines that provide up to 24% fuel savings. Our machines also feature various modes depending on operations, that help save fuel usage during idle modes. This facilitates our customers with affordable and cost-effective machineries.
What are the strategies to effectively serve your customers in future?
