BRIDGING THE GAP

BRIDGING THE GAP

Jabalpur Bridge is a rail-over bridge (ROB), an extra dosed stay cable bridge with a main span length of 193.5 m, pylon height of 21 m, and maximum cable length of 88 m.

Freyssinet Menard India has delivered the design, supply, and execution of an Extra-dosed Stay Cable with Freyssilink system, with a total stay cable strand quantity of 214 MT; stay cable anchorage, and end-to-end installation. Along with this, design, supply, and installation of Form Travelers (2 sets – 4 nos).

Freyssinet Form Traveller innovation ensures precise, efficient construction of extra-dosed stay cables, elevating safety, and sustainability. In this project we witness engineering excellence unfold as we reshape infrastructure’s future.

Bridges to Prosperity (B2P Mission)

Bridges to Prosperity envisions a world where poverty caused by rural isolation no longer exists. Rural isolation is a root cause of poverty, and we believe that connection is the foundation to opportunity. We work with local communities, partners, and foundations, to build footbridges that connect residents to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. When we say Bridges to Prosperity, we mean concrete actions we take to improve the lives of less fortunate communities.

From ancient stone spans to vast modern suspensions, bridges are both icons and vital transportation routes that help connect our world.

Freyssinet develops advanced technologies and bridge construction techniques that limit their impact on the environment. From design to construction and monitoring of bridges, Freyssinet integrates the entire value chain.

One such initiative has been undertaken by our dedicated team of 11 Freyssinet members across the world in Rwanda to achieve the B2P Mission and with a sophisticated data collection and evaluation program, we’re able to prove that the value and impact of our work is sustained long after the opening celebration.

It was an opportunity to give access to the local community to food, healthcare, and education. A 50-meter suspended trail bridge was constructed for the community of Rolindo in Rwanda.

This initiative of breaking out the geographical isolation would ensure households increase their income by 30%.
