How are India’s workspaces evolving with new design trends?

Workspaces in India are shifting from utilitarian setups to experience-driven environments that put people at the centre. Post-pandemic, there’s been a fundamental rethink about how design can support flexibility, well-being, and productivity. We’re seeing a greater emphasis on biophilia, light-filled layouts, calming colour palettes, and multi-functional zones that foster collaboration. The rise of hybrid work has further influenced spatial planning—offices are now being designed to feel less transactional and more inspiring, almost like a second home. At Eleganz Interiors, we’re integrating wellness, digital adaptability, and brand storytelling into every design narrative.

What are some of the latest design innovations from the company?

At Eleganz Interiors, innovation is driven by a deep understanding of how people interact with their environments. One of our recent innovations is the seamless integration of acoustic wellness and smart lighting into collaborative spaces. We’re also experimenting with adaptive furniture systems and mood-responsive zones powered by tech-driven controls. Our materials palette is evolving too—we’re exploring surfaces that self-clean, adapt to lighting, and reduce heat absorption, especially in high-performance zones. For us, design innovation isn’t about gimmicks—it’s about building environments that are intuitive, resilient, and future-ready.

How are you laying emphasis on sustainability in your designs and systems?

Sustainability at Eleganz Interiors is embedded across every layer of our design process—from sourcing and material selection to construction methodology and long-term utility. We prioritize low-VOC paints, FSC-certified wood, recycled metal, and green-certified glass. Our designs focus on maximizing daylight, reducing HVAC load, and enhancing air circulation. On the systems side, we’ve embraced modular construction to reduce on-site waste and time. We also partner with vendors who align with our sustainability values. For us, sustainability is not a buzzword—it’s a responsibility. As we grow, we are committed to scaling our green design principles in both public and private sector projects.

How are the young generation thinking on the design parameters of the future?

The new generation of professionals is incredibly design-aware. They’re looking for spaces that reflect values—transparency, inclusivity, mindfulness, and individuality. They’re also far more conscious of environmental impact, psychological safety, and work-life integration. Gen Z and younger millennials value natural light, earthy tones, personal expression, and tech integration—but they also want sustainability to be more than a statement. At Eleganz Interiors, we listen closely to these preferences. Whether it's through flexible layouts, personalized pods, or earthy, calming palettes—we’re building workplaces that align with the lifestyle, creativity, and purpose that young professionals prioritize.

According to you, what are the design priorities of India Inc for the year ahead? How are you contributing to the emerging needs?

India Inc. is entering a phase where design must answer both emotional and operational needs. The key priorities we foresee are: adaptability, employee well-being, digital-first infrastructure, and ESG-aligned interiors. The demand for “quiet luxury”—spaces that are understated yet high-functioning—is also on the rise. From start-ups to Fortune 500s, companies want offices that attract talent, convey brand culture, and deliver long-term performance. Our role at Eleganz Interiors is to bridge this vision with execution. Through custom-built modular systems, emotionally intelligent design, and LEED-aligned frameworks, we’re actively helping Indian businesses transform their physical identity into a strategic advantage.

How are the public sector workspaces like airports and railways revolutionizing workspace interiors? What are your contributions?

Public infrastructure projects in India are undergoing a design renaissance. Airports, metro stations, and railway lounges are no longer just functional transit zones—they’re turning into experience centres that reflect India’s global aspirations. What’s remarkable is the shift toward intuitive layouts, soothing colour palettes, better signage systems, and local cultural elements. Eleganz Interiors has been proud to contribute to this transformation, particularly in premium lounges and administrative zones. We bring our expertise in high-volume spatial planning, safety-compliant materials, and energy-efficient design to ensure that public sector interiors meet both global benchmarks and indigenous expectations.

What are your expansion plans in the coming years?

Eleganz Interiors has always been driven by a long-term vision—one that balances deep-rooted trust with future-forward thinking. With our IPO journey recently concluded, we are now entering a phase of strategic diversification and global alignment. In India, we are deepening our presence in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities while further strengthening our position in large-format commercial and institutional spaces. Internationally, we have delivered projects in markets such as Singapore, and we continue to explore future opportunities with measured intent. Alongside geographic expansion, we are investing significantly in talent, technology, and sustainability-led innovation. Our ambition is not just to grow—but to lead the transformation in how India designs, builds, and experiences space.
