Erosion is the action of surface processes (such as water flow or wind) that removes soil, rock, or dissolved material from one location on the Earth's crust, and then transports it to another location where it is deposited. In general slopes that are long, steep (5 percent plus), and composed of highly erodible (silty) soils require more protection that shorter, flatter slopes of less erodible soil.
It is essential to put as much effort as possible into actions that will protect the soil from washing away. It could take decades to rebuild even the initial layer of topsoil, so it essential to have some insight on how to keep topsoil in place. GTI GX Coir Mat

GRI GX Coir mat is composite fabric comprising a layer of biodegradable material placed in between and mechanically bonded to two layers of net made of polymer. It is used to minimize the effects of water erosion on slopes and embankments.

GTI 3D GeoMat


GTI 3D Geomat is composed of UV stabilized and non-biodegradable black polypropylene fibres which are extruded at the contact points to provide dimension stability. The three-dimensional structure is purposefully engineered for trapping a layer of topsoil, thus avoiding rainfall erosion by both sheltering the surface against impact of raindrops and by restricting the movement of the soil particles.

GTITM 3D Geo-composite Reinforced Geomat


GTI 3D Geo-composite Geomat are polypropylene erosion control reinforced with double twisted steel wire mesh inserted into the 3D structure during the manufacturing process. It is designed for protection and growing of grass on slopes subject to surface erosion.

The three-dimensional structure is purposely engineered for trapping a layer of topsoil, thus avoiding rainfall erosion by both sheltering the surface against the impact of raindrops and by restricting the movement of the soil particles. The DT mesh provided tensile strength to the mat making it a robust to install.
