[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) work has been delayed yet again as three per cent PAPs are yet to vacate the land. The work has been stalled on several occasions for the same reason. The project of this magnitude and scale will require the entire land for the project, and GVK, being the major stakeholder in the Greenfield airport is not willing to take any chances and unwilling to proceed with the commencement of the runway unless and until the land is handed over to them in its entirety.

For one of the villages, Waghivali, which appears to be a landmass outside the specified area allocated for the airport, there are claims that majority of the structures that could disrupt work has been demolished. NMIA, the proposed Greenfield project has missed several deadlines in the past and is on the verge of missing the mid 2020 deadline as well.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
