NMIA successfully conducts trial landing at the airport site
The Navi Mumbai International Airport witnessed the successful aircraft landing at the airport runway on October 11.
The landing of C-295 aircraft and flypast of Sukhoi-30 aircraft was conducted successfully by the Indian Air Force at Navi Mumbai International Airport site in the presence of Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde; Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State, Civil Aviation; Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister; Sanjay Shirsat, Chairman, CIDCO; Shrirang Barne, MP, Maval; Naresh Mhaske, MP, Thane; Shrikant Shinde, MP, Kalyan; Ganesh Naik, MLA, Airoli; Prashant Thakur, MLA, Panvel; Manda Mhatre, MLA, Belapur; Mahesh Baldi, MLA, Uran; Vijay Singhal, VC & MD, CIDCO; Shantanu Goel, JMD, CIDCO; Ganesh Deshmukh, JMD, CIDCO; Dilip Dhole, JMD, CIDCO; and employees and officials from CIDCO.
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister congratulated CIDCO and other concerned people for the successful landing and flypast of the aircrafts. He also opined that CIDCO’s NMIA and NAINA city projects have the potential to boost the economic development of MMR and turning the Maharashtra into a powerhouse of the country.
Later, the Chief Minister attended an event held at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai where the launch of Mass Housing Scheme of 26,502 tenements; ground breaking of Maharashtra Bhavan, infrastructure development works under NAINA TPS 8 to 12, Thane Urban Cluster (new 3833 tenements) and Western Peripheral Road (Navi Mumbai International Airport); inauguration of 18 holes International Kharghar Valley Golf Course and Viewer Gallery at Centre of Excellence and dedication of Irshalwadi Rehabilitation Project were done by his hands.
The landslide-affected families were distributed the keys of houses representatively by the hands of Chief Minister. He also gave the appointment letters to landslide-affected persons who have been appointed in CIDCO on contract basis. He also launched CIDCO Coffee Table Book, providing details about CIDCO’s projects, on the occasion.
