Officine Maccaferri names Stefano Susani as new Group CEO
Officine Maccaferri, a global leader in the field of civil and environmental engineering, announced the appointment of Stefano Susani as the Group's new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Stefano Susani takes over from Lapo Vivarelli Colonna, who will assume the new role of Group Senior Vice President.
With 30 years of experience in the infrastructure and sustainability sector, Stefano Susani will be responsible for the leadership of the Group, thus contributing to the achievement of the ambitious goals set out in the strategic plan. These include both organic and inorganic growth, through targeted acquisitions in strategic sectors and geographies, and the consolidation of the operational results that have already been achieved through the strengthening of the supply chain.
Prior to joining Maccaferri, Stefano Susani was CEO of Amplia Infrastructures, a subsidiary of Autostrade per l'Italia Group. He has acquired an extensive knowledge of the sector, thanks to a professional career during which he has held technical and managerial roles in some of the main companies operating in the infrastructure sector, both in Italy and abroad.
At the same time, the Board of Directors appointed Fabio Roppoli as the new Chief Operating Officer. Thanks to his sound skills in production transformations within international organisations, Fabio Roppoli will supervise the Group's manufacturing and industrial operations, in coordination with Alexandre Texeira, who will take over the leadership of the Americas (LATAM and North America). Aaron Smith will continue to guide the North American market, contributing to the further development of the region.
Lapo Vivarelli Colonna, as Group Senior Vice President, will be responsible for strategy development, business development, and M&A operations towards new markets. Lapo Vivarelli Colonna will also continue to serve as a Board Member of Officine Maccaferri.
