We will continue to introduce new products as per changing market needs.

Premraj Keshyep, Managing Director, KYB-Conmat

What are the new technologies and breakthrough solutions from the company?

At the recently concluded Excon 2023, we launched three new models of self-loading mixers namely: CSLM 2500, CSLM 4200L and CSLM 4300S. The 2500 and 4200L mixer models feature reduced horsepower engine and present cost-effective alternatives, without compromising the capacity or efficiency. The 4300S mixer has a high-flow drum design that ensures faster discharge and safer operation. After achieving good success and reputation in the field of concrete equipment, we are now expanding into earthmoving sector and in that line, we have launched our hydrostatic wheel loader, having a 3-ton bucket capacity. This is only the second hydrostatic wheel loader in this category in India. The advantage of hydrostatic transmission is its low fuel consumption and very smooth movement, providing a better operating condition for an operator. Fuel saving gives a better payoff in short runs. We have also launched a 11-ton vibratory soil compactor featuring an optional drum drive. With these two products, we are now entering into the earthmoving segment. The construction equipment industry is growing as infrastructure need is growing, and I am very proud to say that our company has a wonderful state-of-the-art R&D facility in Vadodara. We are using our experience and research analysis to indigenously design, develop and manufacture products for India and the world.

How are your products helping in making India’s tomorrow?

India’s economic progress is closely linked with the infrastructure sector’s vitality and the Government of India is putting great impetus on developing strong infrastructure meeting the needs of present and future generations to come. This in turn is driving great demand for construction equipment. The key to future growth lies in making and developing equipment in India, for India and the world. In future, we are also planning to export our new machines. We are already exporting to over 25 countries and our products are very well accepted in the market.

What are the sustainability initiatives in your product range?

Our key focus is on sustainability as we always develop technologies which are good for environment, people and can be sustainable. We always aim at achieving maximum fuel efficiency, operator comfort and ease of operations, so that our equipment can give you better output by a lower footprint of fuel or carbon emission, leading to the minimisation of wastage and having less environmental impacts in the process.

How do you look at opportunities and growth for concrete equipment in India and globally?

Concrete is a very important constituent of construction activities. The demand for construction equipment will continue to rise with the impetus on making future ready infrastructure, driving growth of the nation and the world. We are already a leading manufacturer of CE in the world and will continue to bring innovative products in the markets, that will keep satisfying the customer’s changing needs in the future as well.

What are your expansion plans in concrete product range?

We may be launching more efficient batching plants and more variants of self-loading mixers in near future. We are developing products for global market which are compact and easy to transport, making it easier to export.

What opportunities do you foresee in 2024 and beyond?

We have been constantly growing in terms of business, and with the introduction of new machines, we really expect good growth in the future and will continue to introduce new products as per changing market needs in the future as well.
