Otis India is excited to be a part of this milestone project, which is designed as a tribute to the Garden City of Bengaluru. The passenger experience at this terminal has been aptly described as a ‘walk in the garden’ and Otis India played a pivotal role in making this experience – and movement throughout the terminal – exceptional.
Terminal 2 is also setting a new benchmark in sustainability with its 100 percent usage of renewable energy and as the largest terminal in the world to be pre-certified with a platinum rating by the US Green Building Council (US GBC). Otis India helped support these efforts through its commitment to delivering smart technologies and energy-efficient elevators and escalators, integrated with building management systems, to enhance passenger comfort and contribute to cost savings.
Commenting on the project, Sebi Joseph, President, Otis India says, “The Indian aviation industry is one of the fastest growing in the world, with passenger capacity expected to reach 420 million in four years. As the government invests in airport infrastructure and the elevator industry ramps up to meet the growing demand, Otis India is proud to be at the forefront of providing innovative and environmentally friendly solutions. Otis is honored to be associated with BLR Airport’s Terminal 2 and other significant transportation projects in India.”
