Absolutely, with the urbanization more and more people are moving to the cities especially Tier 1 cities. What are the emerging trends in parking systems? What are the types of parking systems available in India?
In India, the parking system was evolved in a particular manner. First it was surface parking outside the building, then to stilt parking, podium parking and finally to parking in an automated parking system. Automated parking systems are more popular in Tier 1 cities whereas Tier 2 and Tier 3 are dominated by stilt or podium parking as they still have sufficient space to cater the parking requirements. But with time, I am sure they will also move to automated systems like Tier 1 cities.
India is mostly dominated by stack parking. Then there are other types like puzzle parking, tower parking, suspended parking and fully automatic robotic parking.
What are the new concepts and solutions offered by the company in vehicle parking systems? What kind of customized solutions do you offer?
We can offer many different type of solutions based on availability of space and project parking requirement. We don't follow any standard dimensions but all our parking equipment are tailor made specifically for the project. Tower Parking and Puzzle Parking are the most popular in customized solution. For example, first L shaped tower is installed by us and also first 3-level down the ground puzzle is also first done by us. Then there is robotic parking, which itself is fully customized based on available space to accommodate maximum vehicles.
How is the manufacturing of parking systems growing in India? What kind of demand are you anticipating in future for parking systems?
Parking systems are the future. In Mumbai, all the new buildings are coming with automated parking systems only. With time, it is going to be increased only. So with the demand, supply also has to be increased. Earlier there were only a few players operating in the market but now more and more players coming into this and started manufacturing to get the piece of cake.
How do you look at the future market opportunities for various parking systems and solutions? What kind of solutions will effectively address the parking needs in future?
Automated parking is the future. With more space constraint, the equipment also need to be compact, efficient and robust. Even the government is also thinking to use these systems in public places to accommodate more vehicles. Automated system like tower parking and robotic parking are going to be very handy and popular with time for parking solutions.
