Grundfos maximises efficiency with IE5 classification as standard in all TPE in-line pumps
The Grundfos TPE single-stage in-line pump now includes ultra-premium IE5 efficiency as standard across the whole range (up to 55 kW), saving energy, reducing lifecycle costs and raising the standard in intelligent pumping solutions.
TPE is an all-in-one pump, motor, frequency drive, control and sensor suitable for many industrial and commercial building applications. At 11-22 kW, the TPE extends the advantages further with additional connectivity and safety features.
Ultra-premium efficiency up to 55 kW
Grundfos has fitted the entire TPE single-stage in-line pump portfolio with the latest IE5 motors as standard. The 11-22 kW TPE range integrates the intelligent Grundfos MGE Model K, while the Grundfos NIDEC is built into the 30-55 kW TPE range. Both motors are equipped with variable speed drive to adjust motor speed according to system demand.
The ultra-premium IE5 classification is the highest possible for energy efficiency, significantly lowering CO2 emissions, shortening payback time and reducing lifecycle costs. Motor losses are over 30% lower than an IE3 motor, equal to lower losses of more than 500 W at full load. Payback time is also 25% faster than IE3 motors. The increased energy and water savings make it possible to reduce OPEX and SUSEX.
Enhanced connectivity and flexibility
The intelligent MGE Model K motor in the 11-22 kW TPE range enhances connectivity possibilities, with Bluetooth and Ethernet as standard, seamlessly connecting to Grundfos cloud solutions or any Building Monitoring System using standard Modbus RTU protocols. The Grundfos GO app saves time and effort, making installation, commissioning and maintenance of TPE easy. Intelligent sensors dynamically adjust performance to demand, providing maximum efficiency at lowest cost.
Enhanced safety
Safe Torque Off (STO) is now built into the fully updated MGE model K motor in all 11-22 kW TPE pumps. STO is integrated to performance level PLe and safety integrity level SIL3, resulting in fewer system components needed and thus reduced CAPEX of the system. Risk is minimised, safety during maintenance is ensured and risk assessment and certification is simplified.
Robust, reliable, complete solution
TPE is built to last, using premium materials, an optimised production process and Grundfos’s commitment to product quality.
Combining TPE into an intelligent system with products like Grundfos MIXIT, distributed pumping or the Delta Line modular system will increase energy efficiency even further. The full control of the entire pump system through Grundfos GO & GO Link apps creates connected, intelligent and energy-efficient pump solutions that are a suitable and smart choice for many industrial and commercial building applications.
TPE in-line pumps with IE5 motors as standard are available to order now through usual Grundfos channels.
