Komatsu along with L&T Construction & Mining Machinery, which is part of Larsen & Toubro Group, jointly participated at EXCON 2017 by putting up a large pavilion. Arvind K. Garg, Executive Vice-President & Head, Construction & Mining Machinery Business, L&T, who is also the President of ICEMA, led the L&T's participation at the exhibition. Komatsu was represented by its senior management led by Masaaki Kamizono, Managing Director, Komatsu India Pvt. Ltd.

Komatsu showcased its entire range of construction segment machines, namely, Komatsu Hydraulic Excavators models PC71, PC130, PC210, PC300, PC450 and D85 Crawler Dozer. The highlight was the first-time display ofKomatsu GD535 Motor Grader with world-class features such as Komtrax machine tracking system and PC350 Hydraulic Excavator with reinforced structures. These machines carry the hallmark of cutting-edge Japanese technology and have been very well accepted in the Indian market. PC210 Super Long Front machine was also on display along with PC71 Tunnel and PC130 Quarry variants. L&T extends complete after-sales service solutions to the wide range of Komatsu excavators for various segments and applications in the Indian market.

As part of its ambitious Make in India programme, L&T has been at the forefront in indigenous development and manufacturing of several products focused onRoad Construction Machinery. L&T had put up an impressive display of its entire range of road machinery such as L&T 1190 Soil Compactor, L&T 990 Tandem Compactor, L&T 491 Mini Compactor and L&T 9020sx Wheel Loader. Coinciding with this occasion, L&T Pneumatic-Tyred Handler, L&T Skid Steer Loader and L&T Hydraulic Paver were also launched. All these equipment have been designed and developed in-house by L&T's Product Development Centre.

As a part of value-added services, Komatsu had set up a Simulator room in the stall where customers could get a feel of operating the machine in simulated jobsites. An audio-visual room was set up to showcase the benefits of Komtrax, the unique machine tracking system patented by Komatsu. L&T had displayed a wide range of Komatsu Genuine Parts. Recon Engines which have been reconditioned at L&T Service Centres were also showcased in the pavilion.
Suraksha 9000, Komatsu's unique Machine Care Program for PC210-8M0 machine, with extended power train warranty for 3 years or 9000 hours was unveiled during the exhibition. This program is the first of its kind in the construction segment in the Indian market. The occasion was utilized to also launch Komatsu PC210 Rock Breaker and cover the milestone events, the handing over of the 5000th Komatsu machines of PC71 and PC130 to the esteemed customers. Several customers visited the pavilion and had interaction with the senior management of Komatsu and L&T on understanding the product developments andfinalizing new orders. Key handing over events of both Komatsu and L&T equipment to customers was conducted on all days
of the event.
