Can you throw some light on Facilio and its journey over the years?

Founded five years ago by Prabhu Ramachandran, Rajavel Subramanian, Krishnamoorthi Rangasamy and Yogendra Babu, Facilio has been defining and building the category growth. Facilio aims to build the operations management cloud platform unifying field workforce processes and infrastructure IoT data in one place. The founders had strong IoT and Enterprise SaaS backgrounds working for Zoho for 17 years. There is a huge potential to apply technologies like IoT, AI, Cloud, and Mobility in real estate operations to create value in terms of sustainability, workforce efficiency, and business performance. Facilio was founded with a vision to bring tech-driven efficiencies in real-estate.

How is Facilio making its presence in Enterprise SaaS for real estate management?

The built world as we know is fast changing. Huge operational spend lacks high-quality control and visibility, climate goals and government-backed sustainability initiatives and experience-first economy.

This meant property teams had to deal with new complexities, operational processes with several layered workflows, manage dynamic budgets and billing, monitor building systems for optimised performance, reduce cost—and do it all in a remote, distributed environment.

In this scenario, it became crystal clear that operating properties were so much more difficult. It was becoming incredibly painful for the industry—mainly because of the siloed and fragmented nature of the tools, which were not designed to meet the evolving demands of the function. This is the problem Facilio solves and this has been our mission since day one to help properties operate efficiently and sustainably.

What are the key solutions offered by the company in the PropTech space?

Facilio provides a unified operations platform that brings together data from building systems, human factors, and external conditions, transforms it into 360^o operational insights, and makes it actionable for operators, owners, and tenants. We're convinced at this point that our thesis that a software-first approach to unifying all aspects of property operations and maintenance into a single platform (that is IoT-native, mobile-first, with workflow management capabilities) is the right angle to help our customers realize everyday value. We have a broad suite of applications ranging Connected Cmms, Connected Buildings, and Sustainability Suite. We also specialize in solutions for retail, healthcare, and higher education buildings.

What are the future plans of the company?

We look to modernize the still outdated CMMS market to help FMs and real estate owners minimize their spending on property O&M with a single tool approach.

In 2022, Facilio will continue to deliver and advocate for a modern, data-driven model of building operations. We will continue to refine and enhance capabilities that enable remote building operations, tenant and occupant engagement, predictive maintenance, deeper AI enabled analytics, and workflow automation.

We will continue to expand our offerings by working closely with our customers, to uncover the wealth of their deep domain knowledge,  and model those learnings in our solution.  Facilio's ongoing focus is on helping property owners and operators harness data as a fundamental layer in their operations, in order to be agile, proactive, and action intelligence-led decisions in real-time.
