Technology has been ever-changing in the infrastructure segment. The significant change witnessed is PEB. Elaborate on the type of demand surge we saw in the last three years?
In early 2000, warehouses were the initial driver for PEB, but over the last two decades, PEB has ventured into many other applications for different industry segments. In the current scenario, Industrial Structures and Warehouses account for a significant chunk of PEB demand. Kirby India has grown manifolds over the last few years from the simple box-like buildings for warehouses to very complex industrial buildings to high rise structures. The company is now adopting new innovative methods across design, fabrication and construction which has widened their scope of operations. Kirby India being the torchbearer has led the industry into many unknown territories which were never thought of thereby creating newer application areas for these type of structures which are highly customiz\sed and unique in nature. Accordingly, many other trends are being witnessed in PEB right across all the stages of project life cycle such as design, fabrication and erection, thereby creating new trends in the PEB industry. Some of the other trends include issuing of more number of tenders by private, public and government to go for prefab steel construction thereby increasing the market potential of the industry and also promoting the industry across new target audience. Kirby India successfully completed one of the largest buildings for MRF Ltd at Dahej, Gujarat. We used the concept of POD lifting, which easily helps in faster construction, thereby meeting the client's stringent timelines and resulting in on-time completion. Kirby being a truly global leader has once again led the path of this new construction technology for the PEB industry by which we could design, manufacture, supply and construct about 15,000 MT in flat 5 months with more than 90% of the project completed. PEB is one of the first choices when it comes to sustainable and eco-friendly construction. These buildings are also referred to as green buildings as steel is a recyclable material. Kirby India is at the forefront of this innovation. It is leading the revolution of green construction across industrial infrastructure through its PEB technology as it involves dry construction, saving of natural resources, etc. Steel is the preferred material for prefab construction as the steel used is more than 70% recyclable. These buildings are cost-effective, energy-efficient and provide a better quality environment as they are more relaxed in hot conditions due to the favourable roofing material, suitable insulation and natural ventilation. Further, the use of skylights and solar panels mounted on rooftops of industrial buildings also meet daylight and captive power requirements, thereby reducing emission levels. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Which segment do you see more traction for PEB? What is your outlook for the next three years?
Kirby India has grown manifolds over the last few years by executing simple box-like buildings to very complex industrial buildings to high rise structures. The company is now adapting new innovative methods across design, fabrication and construction, which has widened their scope of operations to diversify into newer growth areas. Almost all the sectors use PEB for their building requirement. They are likely to pick up speed in another 15 months or so from 2021, thereby giving more traction for PEB as currently, warehousing is one of the dominant sectors in the current economic downturn.
Kirby India also provides Industrial Racking Solutions and has diversified into Structural Steel applications such as High Rise Structures and developed a new product to cater to this rapidly growing segment through composite construction or steel construction. The company has already executed many high rise buildings and is currently executing G+20 and G+17 commercial office buildings. This will definitely lead to an increase in demand for steel structures for high rises in coming years, and Kirby India being a leader will continue to achieve excellence and create new benchmarks for the industry as a whole.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
