Evolution Journey of Eros Elevators

Early Days

In the late 1940s, Eros installed and maintained elevator kits imported from Switzerland. The products were robust, technically sound and over engineered.

Post independence as India made imports more difficult to become a self-sufficient producer of products, Eros had great difficulties in sourcing appropriate products such as the steel T-rails on which the cabin runs and the life saving safety devices applied in an emergency situation.

Eros started procuring railway tracks and cutting them down to required sizes until the markets were geared up to supply the same.

The initial products by Eros were the highly appreciated 7-stop, Up-Dn handle operated passenger elevators (which were installed in many iconic structures such as The Victoria Terminus)  and the sturdy Freight elevators which were installed in many factories, railways, steel plants, etc.

In the car parking space, Eros introduced car lifts to the Indian market in the year 1992.  Soon we realised that the heavy duty geared system wasn't an efficient system and hence the current products offer the state of the art gearless, 40% power saving, inverter based systems, with and without machine room.

In 1998, Eros introduced SKYZONE Parking , an automated parking solutions provider. SKYZONE, offers driverless parking systems from the simplest Stack to the highly area efficient robotic parking system for upto 1000 car parking spaces.

Evolution

Eros, has strongly believed in the "Make In India" mantra, our products were designed & developed keeping  "reliability, safety & economy" in mind. The products were designed with a life-cycle of 30+ years with regular and proper maintenance.

From the simple handle drive elevators the evolution of Eros's current products are awe inspiring. The passenger elevators are equipped with high end processors supported by self-learning software, power saving regenerative variable voltage variable frequency inverter drives and predictive algorithms to optimise traffic flow for residential & commercial buildings upto 80 floors needing speeds of 5.0 meters per second.

But what Eros prides itself on and believes is its core product, is its service support. At the core of our service support program are our highly trained and service oriented engineers and technicians, who in turn are supported by systems and processes refined and honed over our 70+ years of elevator experience. Eros has harnessed technologies such as the Internet of Things, GPS, apps & end-to-end ERP systems to bring in customer delight.

Additionally, Eros & SKYZONE are excited to launch a system that will seamlessly allow the users to be recognised by a building's elevator & parking systems and learn their patterns thereby improving efficiencies.
