How is ZippMat providing a one-stop solution to customers in construction materials sourcing?

ZippMat provides a one-stop online shop for contractors to buy quality construction materials. We provide complete end-to-end service to our EPC contractor customers. Our in-house vendor sourcing and quality team have identified and partnered with over 100 high-quality suppliers for multiple products like steel, electricals, cement, bitumen, pipelines, etc.

Not only do we identify good suppliers, but evaluate them to across 50+ quality parameters to ensure we are sourcing from the very best. Our high-quality sourcing and evaluation has ensured that we have had ZERO returns to date. We also have an in-house logistics team that has established an extensive transport partner network to ensure we can supply products on time to our customers. We have successfully achieved over 95% on-time deliveries. Finally, we know managing working capital is a huge challenge for contractors. To help solve some of these challenges, we have partnered with multiple lenders to provide access to credit at attractive terms. Our holistic full-stack approach has helped our customers achieve significant cost and time savings. Most of our customers now consider us as an extended arm of their sourcing team.

ZippMat is actively engaging with suppliers, transporters and our contractor customers to create a supply chain platform that would help reduce project costs and increase efficiency for contractors while simultaneously helping suppliers increase incomes and grow their customer base.

What are the major challenges in construction materials sourcing & supply and how did ZippMat make it simple?

The Indian construction market is unorganized and fragmented, with significant dependencies on manual processes. The market is currently plagued by product quality issues, inefficient logistics, and unorganized and irregular supply, which substantially increase project execution costs. ZippMat is solving these problems by digitizing the supply chain and sourcing quality materials from trusted and verified suppliers. ZippMat has developed a proprietary technology-based tool to digitize supply chain activities. The company generates complete project Bill of Quantities (BoQ), supports supply chain planning, aggregates high quality materials and ships these materials to the construction site. ZippMat provides contractors with site efficiency data which helps them monitor construction projects closely and course correct, if needed, to increase productivity. Contractors can track inventory in real time and opt for automated material deliveries as project milestones are achieved, ensuring uninterrupted and timely supply.

How did you utilize digital platforms to offer efficient solutions in construction materials supply and sourcing?

Digitization is a critical enabler to ensure consistent high quality service to all our customers, suppliers and transportation
partners. We are in the early stages of digitizing the entire supply chain. ZippMat has launched an online transportation visibility portal for our customers to track and monitor their orders. We also recently launched an online enquiry portal that simplifies enquiry generation for our customers.

Within the next 4-5 months, we are on track to launch multiple new initiatives to improve ease of purchasing (for our customers) and simplify selling (for our supplier partners).
