GJJ/EEE spends a major percentage of its revenue on R&D for constant technological improvements, with the highest safety standards. Why is this needed? Let us understand by analysing the major components involved in a GJJ/EEE passenger hoist.
Masts
Our R&D understands that the Mast structure is the most crucial component which ensures the verticality of the hoist and should be adequately strong to take the entire load of the hoist along with the huge reaction forces with the wind velocity and seismic zone. After all, it's the safety of the passengers travelling in it and safe project completion on time!
GJJ/EEE provides ST52 grade steel for the structure, having the highest and optimum tensile strength to withstand any type of loads on the hoists (Lateral or Static vertical), which is acceptable to all the five continents.
GJJ/EEE has standardized on galvanized 650x650x1508 mm Masts, which gives long life rust-free structure, thereby improving the equipment life up to 25 years, which is desired by any contractor and thus the high resale value.
“Wonder how many manufacturers can claim this kind of longevity?”
These masts provide the best stability, enabling the SAME MAST SECTION to be used even up to heights of 500 m, unlike other local manufacturers using smaller mast sections, forcing change of entire hoist for heights in excess of 140~150 m in future.
“New projects - New expenses on Hoists - Would you afford it?”
Drive mechanism
After extensive simulations of varied specifications and manufacturers, our R&D was able to configure a customised mechanism through OEMs for their geared motor from SEW Germany/NORD Germany and VFD from Siemens Germany.
This combination enables huge power savings of up to 35~40% in a year. In India, now moving towards faster pace of production and using multiple hoists on a site; this power savings grows multi-fold! For example: A 2T single-cage hoist with just 22 kW motors achieves a speed of 46 m/min with full 2t load, saving about Rs 4~5 lakh worth of electricity per hoist per year! EEE/GJJ hoist proved this to Raymond in Thane with energy meters fitted on it! Today, Raymond has 13 hoists from us. Money saved is money earned.
Galvanised structure
GJJ has standardised all their Mast, Wall ties, Base frame, Trolley and Self-erecting winch to be fully galvanised, thus making it long lasting for 25 years with low maintenance.
Safety limit switches
Schmersal, Germany offers the best limit switches which have a lifetime of at least five times higher than other manufacturers. In spite of the higher initial costing, GJJ/EEE R&D decided to opt for Schmersal Germany owing to this factor of long-term savings in terms of negligible breakdowns. It provides value for money and unmatched performance, reliability for next 20 years to plan and achieve.
