How do you view the opportunities for construction equipment in the growing infrastructure creations?
India's progress on infrastructure development is impressive and promising. The country has been investing heavily in various sectors such as roads, railways, airports, ports, power, urban development, and industrial corridors. The concrete equipment industry is expected to grow steadily along with the infrastructure demand. The industry is also moving towards more mechanization and automation, which improves the efficiency and productivity of construction projects.
What kind of demand are you experiencing for your products?
Our company, SCHWING Stetter, has performed well this year despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. We have seen a strong demand for our equipment from various segments such as roads, irrigation, metro rail, airports, and real estate. We have also launched new products and solutions to cater to the changing needs of our customers and the market.
How does technology play a major role in your products making them better in applications and project execution?
We are a leader in developing innovative technologies for the concrete industry. Some of our products include IOT-enabled concrete pump, mixers and loaders that allow easy logistics monitoring and fleet management, boom pumps with easy mode and single side pumping features, and concrete mixers with spirals that ensure better homogeneity and higher strength of the mix. We also offer solutions for saving cement, fuel and time, such as open loop hydraulic system, optimized prime movers, fast erection batching plants, and in-house automation with CRM and IOT capabilities.
SCHWING Stetter India has become a thought leader in the industry when it comes to bringing innovative technology to the market.
What are the latest developments in your product range?
SCHWING Stetter India has recently added some new products to our range that offer better performance and features. For example, we have introduced a fully electric concrete shotcrete machine that is ideal for tunneling and mining applications as it reduces noise and emissions. We have also launched a new range of truck-mounted concrete boom pumps with higher output and longer reach. These pumps have an easy mode feature that allows the operator to switch between different modes of operation depending on the site conditions. Moreover, we have developed a new product which is the first of its king India, named the Belt Conveyor - LB40 which can deliver a variety of materials with extended reach.
