The bauma CONEXPO INDIA exhibition has been a powerful platform for the construction and mining industry. bauma 2023 turned out to be one of the best years of the show till date. The most important thing to keep in mind when developing an exhibit is the audience and the number of individuals from the autoclaved aerated concrete industry that attended our booth was great. The trade fair was enormously popular among our customers and guests. We had a great footfall including contractors, clients, media personnel, and numerous vendors all with a serious willingness to work on different projects, upcoming as well as ongoing.

What is your overall experience at bauma this time as an exhibitor?
The bauma CONEXPO INDIA exhibition has been a powerful platform for the construction and mining industry. bauma 2023 turned out to be one of the best years of the show till date. The most important thing to keep in mind when developing an exhibit is the audience and the number of individuals from the autoclaved aerated concrete industry that attended our booth was great. The trade fair was enormously popular among our customers and guests. We had a great footfall including contractors, clients, media personnel, and numerous vendors all with a serious willingness to work on different projects, upcoming as well as ongoing.
We are happy to have had such quality interactions and exchange of ideas and information. The note to take home is that even after such advancement in digitalization, a one-on-one interaction is of great importance to enhance communication, build relationships and create a sense of community.
Who were the major visitors during the exhibition?
We had visitors from different domains of the industry. Some of the major clients were DMRC, NHAI, NHPC, BRO, etc. We witnessed almost all of the contractors in the tunnelling industry, the major ones among these included Afcons, L&T, ITD, SAM India, HCC, Tata Projects, etc.
Many media personnels as well as vendors for different requirements also visited our booth.
What are the highlights of this bauma edition?
The panel discussions and interactions at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2023 were the ideal complement to the displays of construction tools and products. The expo has a history of being a catalyst for showing new developments in construction equipment to aid in the nation's infrastructure development, and this year was no exception. It gathered all parties involved in the construction equipment industry under one roof, including manufacturers, producers, suppliers, decision-makers, and investors.
What are the solutions from the company showcased in this bauma? How are these going to make an impact in the Indian projects?
Robbins is the world's leading creator and producer of cutting-edge, underground construction machinery and has nearly 70 years of experience and innovation. Since its establishment in India in 2005, Robbins has contributed to numerous projects involving tunnels for water transmission, irrigation, and the metro system. One of the major steps going forward is the setting up of a factory in Gurgaon, Haryana under the Make in India Program to refurbish and manufacture Tunnel Boring Machines in India for supply in India and exporting to other parts of the world.
Robbins recently supplied three TBMs for Delhi Metro and two TBMs for Agra Metro from the same plant. This will make a big impact in India in the tunneling industry as this will help to reduce the delivery period as well as the cost of the TBMs.
